Church tower (an observation tower)

The tower is the remnant of the Martin Luther evangelical church.

The construction of the church began in 1902 thanks to funds from the consul Emilia Heys, the then richest inhabitant of Świnoujście. It survived World War II, but, unfortunately, after the war it was gradually devastated and plundered. In 1962 it was decided to demolish the building. After partial demolition the work was stopped and the tower, which we can see today, was left. Today, it houses a two-level cafe, “Cafe Wieża” and an observation point.
